Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog.  I will be posing recipes in addition to taking questions from you on everything from techniques in the kitchen to cooking for large crowds.  Below is my favorite recipe for dough, which is called a 5 minute dough, is easy to make and only has 3 main ingredients and can be used for a variety of things.  



Dough Recipe  – Standard
2 Cups – All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup – Vegetable Oil
1/2 Cup – Boiling hot water
1 – Large Egg
Salt – To taste
Sesame Seeds – For Garnish
For Pizza Empanadas, add Garlic, Dry Oregano, Dry Basil

In a Large mixing bowl, mix together the flour and oil. Then add the boiling water and season.
Once all are bonded together put in refrigerator for 1 hour to settle.

Meat Filling Recipe
1 – Small Spanish onion diced
2 – Garlic Cloves crushed
1/2- Plum Tomato diced
1/2 Pound – Ground Beef
1/4 Bunch – Cilantro diced
Season to flavor:
Cumin
Black pepper
Kosher Salt
Nutmeg – A little
( Add diced jalapenos to liking )

Saute the diced onions on medium high heat until golden, add tomatoes and then the garlic.
After  2 minutes, add the ground beef and mix until fully cooked, about 5 – 6 minutes.  Season to flavor and then turn off fire and fold in the diced cilantro.  Let mixture cool to room temperature.

For Pizza Filling:
Mozarella or cheese of your choice
Pizza Sauce and for the pizza sprinkle dry oregano and basil on top.

For Both:
Take the dough out of the fridge and with some excess flour roll the dough out on a clean surface with a rolling pin and make circles.  Place the mixture of your choice in the center of the dough, fold the dough in half and seal it with a fork.  Brush with an egg, sprinkle white sesame seeds on top.
